Having been born and bred in North Wales and spent much of his working life in the area, Tony Griffiths has an in depth knowledge of unique and picturesque locations. Combined with this appreciation and his photographic skills, Tony has produced an intriguing and creative collection of photographic images. They include pictures taken at dawn, with ever changing light that is characteristic of that time of day and images at the end of day to produce stunning sunsets in the mountains and seascapes of North Wales. A particular interest is Tony’s love of monochrome work, especially photographs taken on infrared film, which gives an ethereal and atmospheric mood to his pictures. Tony has been involved in photography for over 20 years and is skilled in all aspects of the media, including monochrome and colour work. His work has been exhibited in various venues in Wales including Prestatyn Library, Rhyl Arts Centre, Oriel Eryri, Penrhyn Castle and Southport Arts Centre. He is an active member of Rhyl Photographic Society and has been their president and currently, the exhibition organiser.
